Mardi Gras

Its Lundi Gras which Means the Krewe of Red Beans makes its way from the Bywater into the French Quarter and the afternoon was perfect to get out on the route and see this walking parade.

As I make my way through any parade crowd, I find myself pulling focus away from the parade itself. For the most part, I find other photographers already have capturing that creativity well handled. What I try to find is on the fray - the scenic happenstance that comes from just being around the celebration. In this case, the downtown neighborhoods of the Bywater and Marginy did not disappoint, as the parade made its way down Royal St.
